Port Moresby, January 18, 2016 –The Philippines Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCCI) and Powercity Corporation met government officials of Papua New Guinea (PNG) on a mission to strengthen foreign investment and trade relationship.
PCCCI delegates met with PNG’s Prime Minister Peter O’ Neill and various government and private sector representatives. One of the speakers in the government sector was Hon. Patrick Pruaitch, Minister for Treasury of PNG. He said, “There is opportunity for PNG and the Philippines to collaborate more in business. We are rich in natural resources. We need capital and know how. Businesses can make our dream a reality.”
Powercity Corporation President Mr. Wilson Lua discussed with Prime Minister O’Neill and expressed his cooperation with the government by donating 10 generator sets for charity institutions in PNG. Cencon Packaging, a fish canning factory in PNG purchased 2 units of 500 KVA Powercity generator last year.
