Corporate History

Powercity Corporation was established in 1993. It engaged in the selling, leasing, and distribution of diesel- and gasoline powered generators as well as electrical supplies.

The company was conceived by a man who has more than two decades of experience in the operation, maintenance, and service of engine-driven power generators made by leading brands in the market. These decades of field experience have resulted in the high-level of generator expertise needed to produce safe, user-friendly, cost-efficient, and dependable generators.

The company became an authorized service center for Denyo generators and the exclusive distributor of Kutai controllers and Victor multi-testers in the country. It started its business growth by providing generator repair and maintenance services in cell sites of a local mobile operator Smart Communications in 1996. Because of the company's outstanding performance Powercity gained recognition from Smart Communications and also gained opportunity from its rival Globe Telecom in the year 2000.

In 2002, the company established its own diesel generator manufacturing plant in China known as Powercity Electromechanical and Equipment Co. Ltd. The latter, investing in research, development and manufacture of Powercity generators, load banks, automatic transfer switches (ATS), electrical conduits, accessories, unistrut channel, clamps and dc fan ventilation. As the company maintained its good business relationship and reputation with Smart and Globe Telecom, Powercity gained another opportunity in Sun Cellular in 2005 in terms of sales and after sales service of Powercity generators.

POWERCITY CORPORATION has been serving other customers for the supply, installation and maintenance of generators and relevant products for the Philippine clients such as Luzon Hydro Corporation, Alcatel  Philippines, Nextel Communications, Northern Telecoms, Lucent Technologies, Hutama Skyway Project and more.

Today, POWERCITY CORPORATION diversifies into marine engines, renewable energy and telecommunication products to bring an options to its potential customers.
